Today we rode the rest of the Loneliest Road from Ely to Fallon. From there we headed up to Reno to stay with friends.
I didn’t take pictures of the scenery today as it was just like yesterday. It is fascinating to see the series of mountain ranges and valleys. I did take a few pictures at a gas stop in one of the small towns. Gasoline was available in towns 80 to 110 miles apart so we stopped at every one to fill up.
The mountains provide the best riding experience. Typically the road winds up to a pass and then winds down to the next basin. In Florida we don’t have mountains and twisties. It’s easy to forget your corner carving skills. We’ve had plenty of practice and opportunity to refresh those skills the last few days.
Tomorrow we will probably ride around Lake Tahoe.
